At only 5'2 I have always had a battle with the extra #'s. I have had balance, coordination and flexibility problems, so exercise has not been a high priority in my life.

It has taken me a while to adjust to retirement/ 4 years ago I had retired from a 'career' position; that had consumed much of my day-to-day life. Although I now have time to put my efforts into addressing these two items so this retirement chapter of my life wlll be healthy and meaningful.

My total pounds to goal will be 100# plus from my highest weight which was in 2011, Although I had discovered "SPARKPEOPLE". my time commitment to myself till June 1st, 2012 was minimal, and I have only lost 18#, Since June I have been recording my food consumption, attending Aqua Fitness classes 2 x per week and renewed my membership in Curves.

Sept 2-12 - down 35#'s (17#'s with Sparks!)
Jan. 2-13 - down 53#'s (35#'s with Sparks!) ya! on target.
- flexibility, coordination and balance significantly improved!

My Goals:
Focus my time and energy on improving my metabolism, to eat healthy, Increase physical activity
Be under 200# by October 2012 (ALMOST THERE -09-02-12)
Revised: 160# by April 2013
at Goal 125 - 130 by January 2014

My Program:
Eat regularly,
- 3 Meals, 2 Snacks each day
- keep within SPARKS calorie range
- Exercise 2 x /week Aqua Fit 3 x / week Curves
- Keep motivated!
- Log food, water and exercise daily
- Read "SPARK articles
- Consider Tabata Training
- 15 minute exercise challenge
- climbing 4 flights of stairs instead of elevator - yes!
- walk all aisles in store before checking out - yes!
- SPARK chair exercises -0-
- Incumbent bike 20 minutes - once per week - yes!
- Practice floating and kicking' when in pool - once per week - yes!

- 5 Minute Challenge
- tidy a room/cupboard
- start laundry

    Maria’s Onderland Party is finally here. Friday we are throwing Maria (Fusion Fitness) a dance-a-thon at 6pm Standard Time, Maria’s web page
    USIONFITNESS3 Just cut and paste this address in your browser. So same time as California in the States. She likes music from the 70’s so we will be having a Disco Party. It won’t be a party without great Spark Friends stopping by to celebrate, dance a bit and offer Congrats to her for all her hard work to get to this awesome goal. If you don’t mind bring a Spark goodie with you to share at the party. We will have Video web addresses for the songs we will be dancing to, so everyone can get some fun partying in, and cardio at the same time. It would be great if you can take a picture of your dancing and if you are up for it throwing in some Hippy outfit or maybe just a Peace sign and post it on your page or a blog so Maria can see everyone having fun at her dance-a-thon. John Travolta will be there you can count on that! I am looking for some flower power, maybe even a cool peace sign lol. Wouldn’t it be great if we could all Skype a dance party?
