It's Never Too Late

When I first joined SP in January '06, I weighed 185 pounds. My goal was 25 pounds weight loss. Thus, I chose the name Silver Lady.

For awhile I just gave up even trying to lose weight, telling myself that "after all I am in my golden years it's too late in my life and I should enjoy." JANUARY '10, The scale had dipped and rose repeatedly during the year. Laxity -followed with guilt; followed by weariness of feeling guilty .

January '11. 5th year SparkVersary. Yet another 15 pounds accumulated. Time to get serious. A new resolve, a new beginning. I looked for and found the Spark Team that would provide the most support. I'm taking advantage of the many benfits of Spark People. Thanks to obtainable nutrition and exercise challenges which are provided by the leaders of the team, I am taking full advantage of Spark People.

I'm in my 70's now. My new goal? Can you believe it --my current goal is to reach 185! That's what I weighed when I first joined Spark People.

I Can, I will do that. After all, it's never too late.

Thank you, my Friend for the rainbow. A rainbow always reminds me of one of God's many promises. And He keeps every one! emoticon emoticon

Thanks for the comments, yes I used to hula hoop but my favorite was roller skating I tried to put some on again a few years back, just because my husband told me I was Crazy I'd kill myself, He was right, lol! That lasted about 2 min. We play Wii games with our son sometimes, the golf and bowling. Take care

emoticon for commenting on my blog. I like that you have had discussions with Friends about it. We see others that have more than we have and don't realize we have a lot more than the majority of the world. Even in France many don't have refrigeration and therefore have to shop for meats and produce daily. We lived there for 9 weeks while going for language study. My California Friends were enthralled that we have nice large lawns, and NO fences. So life is good here in Ohio! emoticon emoticon emoticon
