Change your mentality, change your life!

Here's the deal. I've been a part of SP for a long long time. 2008, I believe. My most successful time period was beginning of 2009. Two things were a factor in my success, a break up and change in my lifestyle. Here I am, end of 2013, weighing more than I ever have, still carrying weight that I had from my pregnancy. I need to change. I need to change my mentality, I need to change my lifestyle, and then my body will change. In that order.
My previous mentality was, if it wasn't working, ...

I need to change. I need to change my mentality, I need to change my lifestyle, and then my body will change. In that order.
My previous mentality was, if it wasn't working, move on. Almost like, if you aren't good at basketball you stop playing and move on to another sport. Problem was, I wasn't moving on to anything, I was just stopping.
In order for me to be successful, I definitely need to be accountable. I need to keep track of my non-scale victories. I need to keep track of how I feel. How much energy I have, how my mood is, how my jeans fit. I focused so much on the scale in the past that I think it has truly been my downfall.
While I love to SEE that change, I think I really need to focus on the feeling of it. If I want to change my lifestyle - not go on a diet - I need to focus on how I feel, not what the number on the scale says.
I'm starting today, in order to be a better me in 2014.

My Goals:
Track my measurements - weekly
Drink 8 glasses of water - daily
Weigh myself - every 2 weeks ONLY
Lose 22lbs by April 30th
Exercise - 6 days a week

My Program:
I want to focus on strength training this time. I want to exercise 6 times a week, each day doing at least 10 - 15 minutes of cardio and alternating days for strength.

Personal Information:
I am 29 years old. My 30th birthday is April 30th and I hope that I can be at my lowest weight thus far by that time, 150lbs. On my 5'1 1/2" frame, my current weight does not look or feel well. I'm tired a lot. I work full time and then take care of my daughter the rest of the hours of the day. I have help from her father but he works 2nd shift, so it's mostly her and I. It's so easy to make bad choices when you are running around with a toddler. My daughter will be 3 on Jan. 4th and she is quite the handful but I love her to pieces and I want to set a good example for her!
