    Hi and welcome to Spark People. We're never too old to start something new and to change our life style and health. Congratulations on making that decision.
    I am almost 70 yrs old and started a new weight loss journey last April. I have lost around 30 lbs.....mostly with carb control. And it doesn't take going thru a boot camp training either IF your activity level is compromised. I do water exercises and walk around my block up to 3 times a day, a few days a week. Some day I hope to be able to walk at least a mile at a time, but we do what we can.
    I wish you all the best on this journey and I'll enjoy watching your progress unfold.

    I am starting over and hope to hear from people who are 65+ and winning at weight loss. Also anyone who can help - I would like to post at the 50+ and 50 - 99 lbs team but could not figure out how unless this e-mail goes there. I am 73 yr. old female and need to loose 50 lbs. Weighed in yesterday at 190.5. Also any tips for when you travel would be helpful. Every time I go away for a week I seem to gain 3 - 5 lbs.
