Changing Ways

This is my 2nd attempt at Spark. It's been over a year since I last really tracked on Spark. I thought I could do it myself, but it is hard. Life gets in the way. But excuses are easy, change is hard.

I was really active, played rugby and soccer to help keep in shape. But an old college injury has creeped back into my life and now those two passions in my life are no longer an option. The surgery to correct my ankle is not necessary and the ortho stated if he were in my shoes, he would not do the surgery. He did recommend losing weight to help alleviate some of the pain.

I tried running. I hated it. I tried running races, I loved it. As much as I hated the half marathon I completed in July 2012, I want to do better. And that's when I realized, I can't always do it on my own and decided to give Spark another try.

Thank you so much for the comment on my page!!

The first thing that helped me was doing the Spark start. At the beginning I was obsessed with getting Spark Points and I really think that really helped me.

I also am a stickler for portion sizes. I believe that watching my portions, keeping something on my stomach at all times, and tracking everything really helped me get to where I am today. :)

I am here for you if you have any questions. You CAN do this!!!
