All About Me

I've been tracking my weight since I was 14 and exercising regularly since I was 18. Initially motivated by poor body image, I gradually learned to accept that my body will never look like Britney's - even when she was "fat." It's still a pretty good body. :)

In spite of a high activity level and reasonably careful eating, I struggle to keep my weight in a healthy range. I go through cycles of extreme consciousness and calorie counting to complete frustration and the resulting - "I don't care what I eat today." I'm here to try to increase my consciousness of food choices in positive way and keep my attitude consistent. Guilt is not a good motivator for that state.

So here's to good health and happiness!

I've lost two pounds without doing anything special... but those are the same two pounds I gained over the holidays!

I'm an advertiser's nightmare- I have a gift for completely ignoring ads! I think this site would be better if it had, for instance, Facebook-style status updates, and if you could get all your "teams" on one page. (And what's with the team leaderboard? When you've got 500 members in a group, do those numbers matter?) But I'm still figuring it out, too. And, after using several other blogging sites over 5-6 years, I've decided that this is going to be my "personal growth and talking about mememe" blog space. For now. Until something more interesting comes along. Which, based on previous behavior patterns, will probably happen in 2-3 months.

Is the air in Denver different? Do they cook with less fat? Did you dance off all the calories?

I went to see if anyone else had joined the Mensa group (no...*sniffle*) and I saw how many fitness minutes were listed for the whole group. It's just you and me, and I haven't been entering minutes, so that's all you! You rock!
