Hey everyone! I am Kyra, The Get In Shape Girl. I LOVE FITNESS!! Although I haven't always. I used to be 160 and totally unhealthy. I got tired of it and made a change. Now I'm an online personal trainer because I truly want to help other people make that change to improve their lives.

Just read your last blog. I have always said that us women are our worst enemies. You hit the nail on the head. What is wrong in being healthy and feeling good about yourself and not having the ideal so called perfect body. Your client improved her life. She feels great, she is eating healthy which will improve her overall daily life but because she didn't drop weight fast negative comments were thrown out there just to shake her confidence. Seriously so frustrating and yes very juvenile.
I just returned to being a more fit me after a year and a half absence - stress and depression really affected me.
I began running for the first time in my life in June and have signed up for a half marathon on October 19th :). I am feeling great, running 4 to 5 times a week with short runs and my weekly long run doing the Jeff Galloway program.
The weight scale hasn't budged yet - and yes i eat extremely healthy - no red meat, no white stuff, no dairy and allergic to eggs so yes clean eating all the way.
I am much toner and best of all my asthma has improved drastically. I stated with a 1 min run 1 min walk, I am up to 8 min run 1 minute walk and next week the 9:1 is coming :)
Thanks for sharing your blog with us and your enthusiasm.

I am certain that Germany will be VERY different then Italy!!!
But both have their own charms, do doubt! lol

Joe pointed out a few questionable items floating in the Grand Canal... we swear that the public toilets are fed directly into the water! emoticon That was just our speculation!

You are going to have such a wonderful time!!!!! Enjoy!!!!

I have nothing to say about Englannd and London, or Ireland... I am positive things in those countries is leaps and bounds different from that of italy!

In Italy, some things of note:
Public toilets are rare, and bring your own toilet paper! Often times there are public toilets you will pay 2 euro to use (you are paying for them to be clean and toilet paper supplied.) It's worth the $$$, trust me!!!

Italian pizza is NOT what you'd expect a pizza to look like... I can't divulge anymore info about it... you HAVE to experience it for yourself!

Bring a hand-held fan to carry in your purse... It gets really HOT! Especially if you are taking public transportation, you will be literally on-top of people! So many people EVERYWHERE! It gets HOT and sweaty! Good times! (And I thought it was bad enough in rush hour here... NO WAY!)

Beware of the Gypsy's and pick-pockets! Gypsy's will beg and tell you sob stories hoping for your handouts... they are great at faking illness/disease for any opportunity to pick your pocket or cut your purse off you and get away with all your money! Joe had his bag slashed but luckily they never got through to the inside! Still, not cool!!!!

Shower stalls are VERY SMALL. Get used to showering with your arms at your sides! I'm not kidding! Washing my hair was interesting! (And I'm not even a BIG person!!! Joe came home with bruised elbows! LOL)

Take lots of pictures! Enjoy the culture! It's beautiful and the memories you will treasure forever (even if you do get the luxury to go back!)
