Maintaining for Now

I'm Daniel. I try to always march to the beat of my own drum. Often my sarcasm and cynicism gets me trouble, and my sense of humor does not get laughter from some people.

My main reason for joining SP was that it was a free, all-in-one site for tracking my goal to a healthier lifestyle. I have always been short and stocky (I take after my mom's side of the family), and while I awas comfortable in my own skin, I knew that I needed to lose some weight and get in better shape. I began in June 2009 and lost 50 pounds in a year. Our first daughter was born was July 2010, and between then and May 2011, I put back on about 20 pounds. I realized I needed to get back on track with my eating (Dairy Queen Reese's PB Cup Blizzards are my weakness). Currently, I'm at my lowest weight in who knows how long. I am so glad I made the decision 3 years ago to get on track health-wise. And oh yeah, we welcomed our second daughter into the world in November 2011. Life is indeed very busy!

My Goals:
To live a healthy lifestyle and encourage our daughters to do the same.

My Program:
I've never believed that diets work (hence why I never went on one), so for me, portion control and self-control is the key. The Nutrition Tracker on SP is exactly what I need to evaluate my eating habits.

I also need to make a habit of exercising at least 3 days a week.

Personal Information:
I have an affinity for pens, notebooks, and Kentucky basketball - just ask my wife. Speaking of my wife, she is the best, and I am very blessed to have married such a wonderful woman. I also have two beautiful, busy daughters who are so much fun.
