right back at it

i've spent most of my 27 years thinking about losing weight, learning how to, and watching other people succeed at it. now it's my time, and it all starts from within. i've made up my mind that this really is it, even when times get hard.
i want to feel good about myself walking down the street, and not have to worry about how i look! i want to do it right this time, and have this be a lifestyle change that can be embraced by me and my husband, and our future children one day!

I work in a lab. Its a professional environment but most people wear jeans and just nice shirts here. I don't have to dress up but I like to. The only reason I don't most of the time is because its cold! Also, if I know I'm going to be working with equipment I don't want to dress *too* nice and ruin my nice clothes. It is just about making a good impression to the higher ups although they probably don't care that much! Ha!

I was never much of a runner but no running for me now. I had strokes 9 years ago that left me unable to walk.
I can walk now after a lot of physical therapy but running is still not happening. I do 3 miles a day on the treadmill or outside.

3.1 miles is not really bad if your a runner. I think it just sounds far because of the 5 LOL

That is great you enjoyed yourself. I think you will do great with your 10K. I have to do 8.6 miles for March of Dimes in March. emoticon

I experienced the same in getting past the Week 7 plateau. I slowed down my pace to a ridiculous, ridiculous speed (so slow it was nearly why-not-just-walk) simply to get the distance. Once I was able to do it a couple times I was able to pick the pace back up!
