I'm here to get healthy, fit, and to lose weight. I am doing this because I want to feel better, and spend more time, here on earth with my family. My daughter-in-law told me about Sparkpeople, and she loves it so I thought I'd give it a try.
I am here to get healthy and fit, while I lose 100 pounds. I know I have a long road ahead, but I CAN DO IT !
My goals are:
1) Eat right, by adding 5 fruits and veggies to each day.
2) Drink 8 glasses of water a day.
3) exercise(move my body), for 10 minutes, 3 times a day
4) Go for a walk 30 minutes a day
5) Get 8 hours of sleep a day
I am eating whole grains, beans, and legumes, fresh fruits and veggies, nuts, seeds, chicken and turkey breast, fish, tuna, eggs, and yogurt.
I am working on cutting out all white, refined, and processed foods, and SUGAR from my way of eating.
I will exercise 10 minutes 3 times a day, and walk for 30 minutes a day.
My name is Sharon. I live in Tampa,Florida. I am retired but I worked in Social Services for years. I am mom to six beautiful, wonderful people, grandma to 12 wonderful grandchildren, and GG (great Grandma) to seven equally wonderful great grandchildren, with one more, at last count on the way. I am doing this because I want to feel better, and get healthy to spend more time here with my family. They are my heart.
I enjoy reading, music of all kinds, and watching movies. My real guilty pleasure is shopping, It's a pleasure, and I am guilty, sooo guilty of over doing it from time to time. Especially where my family is concerned.

Welcome, welcome...I love your 'cats have support staff' we have two spoiled (to say the least) cats and we truly are at their beck and call...but I love those two spoiled fur balls..yep I do. You will love Spark People! I've only been here since 6/18/09 myself and I have lost 11 lbs. Find a great spark buddy..or several...and join some wonderful challenge teams...then read, read, read, about all of the nutrition information and recipes (I make one most every nite..instead of eating out...they are GOOD) and it saves me sooo much $$$$ and calories..what's not to love about that! Enjoy your 'healthful' week!
