I am on a journey to a healthier and happier life. This journey is not a straight road. It has twists, turns, ups, and downs, but it's MY journey. It is filled with people cheering me on, picking me up, walking beside me, and leading me to be a better person. I want to be a healthy person for myself. I want to be able to run, jump, play, and not be held back by any insecurities about my weight. I want to be be proud of my choices, and proud of the person I am. I'm well on my way.

I started this journey in 2010 at 246 lbs. By the end of that year I was maintaining at 205 lbs. 2011 was fine--gaining and losing the same 5 lbs, but at the end of 2011 I ended up gaining about 20 lbs back. At first I was ashamed, then I was angry, and then I was sad. I tried some goal setting at the beginning of 2012, but my heart wasn't in it.

Now it's May 2014, and I've gained that last 20 lbs back. Feeling sorry for yourself and moping does not get you very far, but I'm ready to go again. The motivation is back, I'm aligned body, soul, and mind, and I'm ready to go. My journey is not over yet, and I'm done with the detours for now :)

Thank you :) I'm pretty sure I've gained a few pounds since I've been home... Went to Arizona, ate in and out - not worth the 1,000 calorie burger & fries. I'm in Seattle for the rest of the week! We can go walk green lake or something! I'm still trying to buck up and start c25k again. Congrats on all your biking! How are you doing?

Do you want to make a back on track pact? I'm up for it if you are! We are both at the same weight. I'm not moving my counter at all untill I can move it down instead of up because I'm kinda mad about going up.
