"I want life in every word to the extent that it's absurd."
Postal Service

This has been a journey of ups and downs since 2010. Losing 40 lbs, then gaining it back over the past 4 years has really taught me a lot. What it's mostly taught me is that my value and worth does not lie in my weight or size--which has been incredibly freeing!

I'm learning to love myself, like myself, and be kinder to myself. I'm hoping that the next step in this journey leads to long term successful weight loss and better healthy mentally, physically, and emotionally.

    but then I found this:

"Rebellion against your handicaps gets you nowhere. Self-pity gets you nowhere. One must have the adventurous daring to accept oneself as a bundle of possibilities and undertake the most interesting game in the world, making the most of one's best."

"Dreaming is wonderful, goal setting is crucial, but action is supreme.
To make something great happen you must get busy and make it happen.
Take that action step today that will put you on your path to achievement."

    5. When the door opens you yell, "Trick or ..." and can't remember the rest.
    4. By the end of the night, you have a bag full of restraining orders.
    3. You have to carefully choose a costume that won't dislodge your hairpiece.

"Whenever you make a mistake or get knocked down by life, don't look back at it too long.
Mistakes are life's way of teaching you. Your capacity for occasional blunders is inseparable from your capacity to reach your goals.
No one wins them all, and your failures, when they happen, are just part of your growth. Shake off your blunders.
How will you know your limits without an occasional failure? Never quit. Your turn will come."
    -Og Mandino

Wishing you a great day of progress, Sparkfriend! Remember, you don't have to be perfect....just do your best, and start over as many times as you need to. As long as you never quit, you will make progress!
    Hugs,
    Pixie
