I am on a journey to a healthier and happier life. This journey is not a straight road. It has twists, turns, ups, and downs, but it's MY journey. It is filled with people cheering me on, picking me up, walking beside me, and leading me to be a better person. I want to be a healthy person for myself. I want to be able to run, jump, play, and not be held back by any insecurities about my weight. I want to be be proud of my choices, and proud of the person I am. I'm well on my way.

I started this journey in 2010 at 246 lbs. By the end of that year I was maintaining at 205 lbs. 2011 was fine--gaining and losing the same 5 lbs, but at the end of 2011 I ended up gaining about 20 lbs back. At first I was ashamed, then I was angry, and then I was sad. I tried some goal setting at the beginning of 2012, but my heart wasn't in it. Now it's July 2012, and I'm ready to go again. The motivation is back, I'm aligned body, soul, and mind, and I'm ready to go. My journey is not over yet, and I'm done with the detours for now :)

My weight goal for the rest of 2012 is to get under 200 lbs--and preferably, to more than get under 200 lbs and get to 184--which gets me out of the obese category and into the overweight category :)
