I am a 25-year-old, trying my best to win what has been a constant and life-long struggle with weight. I've made some solid progress--but I am so not done yet! :-)

I really reached this point when I began to realize there were real issues with my body and my attitude toward food. Eating had become part of a terrible cycle of depression for me...I was tired all the time. I found myself often using food as a motivation for things, giving in to every craving, indulging my terrible ...

I really reached this point when I began to realize there were real issues with my body and my attitude toward food. Eating had become part of a terrible cycle of depression for me...I was tired all the time. I found myself often using food as a motivation for things, giving in to every craving, indulging my terrible eating habits, just to keep myself feeling motivated and even close to happy.
In 2011, I decided it was time to make a change. I remember my boyfriend opening the internet browser on my laptop, and the SparkPeople homepage popped up as my homepage--he said "Wow--you really are serious!" But it wasn't until I'd lost 25 pounds and changed most of my habits, that I felt I had made a difference.
In September 2012, I moved 1,000 miles from NJ to FL to be with my bf, and between the move and the job search, I gained a little weight back. Not much--I hovered at about 5 lb above my lowest weight.
In November 2013, I had some health problems--the culmination of which was a stroke right around Thanksgiving. I moved back to NJ, returned to my former position, and am finally cleared to resume dieting and exercise.

For Life:
1) Lose Weight. (This one is, of course, compound.)
2) Exercise willpower. (Again--compound, and in numerous parts of my life.)
3) Read more.
4) Stay positive.
5) Honor the body.
6) Take a little time for me, everyday.

My Program:
1) Cook more, eat out less.
2) Get SOME exercise every day.
3) 8 glasses/8 ounces, every day.
4) Follow the doctor's advice: 5-6 servings of fruits/veggies the size of my fist, every day.

Personal Information:
I am 25 years old, from New Jersey. I'm currently a bank teller/CSR, working for the first company I ever worked for--a place I've loved since I started here almost 9 years ago.
I moved back to NJ from FL in January 2014 after some major health scares, and now that I'm allowed to diet and work out again, I'm back on the weightloss train!

Hi! I'm sorry I'm such a flake! I was thinking about you and your awesomeness this morning so I went over to your SparkPage to leave a comment only to see that I left a comment months ago offering you bellydance DVDs if my mom's friend didn't want them. So, I talked to my mom again. She hasn't heard back from her friend so she said to give two of the DVDs to you, and she'll give the rest to her friend if she ever hears back from her.
