A little LESS Mama to LOVE(again!)!!
This will be my third round with Spark People. I was working the program, and had made it about 75% of the way to my first goal, when I got a surprise of baby # FOUR!! I did the best I could to not let my eating get completely out of control during my pregnancy, and I have about 20 pounds to RE-lose now. In addition to my ultimate goal, that gives me around 70 pounds to lose. Funny enough, that is how much I had lost up until the pregnancy, so I know that I *CAN* do this... I just have to ...

I did the best I could to not let my eating get completely out of control during my pregnancy, and I have about 20 pounds to RE-lose now. In addition to my ultimate goal, that gives me around 70 pounds to lose. Funny enough, that is how much I had lost up until the pregnancy, so I know that I *CAN* do this... I just have to figure out how to fit in time for myself AND the new baby, on top of my other daily responsibilites. It will look a little different this time, so I am trying to be patient with myself as I figure things out. I am exclusively breastfeeding, so I can't restrict my calories the way that I was before, but I CAN pay attention to what I am eating and why. It can be so hard when you are pregnant(AND nursing) to know if your body is really hungry or if you just want to eat. I got used to telling myself I wasn't hungry when I was losing the weight before, but don't feel as comfortable with it when I am feeding someone else. I also am really struggling to find time to exercise. I have a hard time just brushing my teeth right now! I know that if I was exercising like I was before that I would be losing weight because I am eating a pretty good diet, but I just haven't been able to do a lot. My new goals are to try and track what I am eating on a daily basis and make sure to make some time for some quick strength training and cardio. I might not be able to take 5 mile hikes right now, but that doesn't mean I can't squeeze in a 10 minute video at some point during the day. I am going to do the best that I can for right now and know that this is a lifestyle, NOT just a means to lose the weight. I am hoping to re-connect with some of my old sparkbuddies out there. My Goals:
I want to be a healthier role model. I want to run and play and NOT get winded. I want to feel good about my body. I want to feel SEXY!!
My Program:
I have a young baby and I am breastfeeding exclusively, so right now I am not "actively dieting". But what I do want to do is track my calories and strength exercises. I have a pedometer and I have a goal to make it to 10,000 steps a day. Before I got pregnant with the baby I was walking/hiking a lot more than I am able to for now, but I am hoping by tracking things again I can slowly work my way back to where I was before the pregnancy.
