UDPATE: (5/1/17) I lost 24# on the State of Slim diet in 16 weeks, I felt SO much better. More energy, less aches and pains, no cravings... and then, life happened and I fell off the healthy eating path. I'm going back on today, and I know it will be awesome!!

UPDATE: (8/22/16) Last Wednesday, August 17th, 2016, I joined a group of my co-workers for State Of Slim. There are 20 of us in the group, and I am hopeful about the outcome!

UPDATE: (7/14/16) Gained back all the weight + more. I now weigh more than I have since 2007. sigh. I'm struggling with Weight Watchers, and just moving in general. I'm trying.

UPDATE: (6/3/2015): Hubby and I are doing Weight Watchers together, and I also use SparkPeople to help keep me straight. There is much more support here than online for weight watchers. I started on December 28th, 2014 and since that time, I am down 23 pounds.

UPDATE: (12/29/13): I'm working on it.

UPDATE: (3/5/14): I'm nothing if not consistent in my failure to make a lifestyle change stick. sigh. I am trying again!

UPDATE: (5/17/13): I am starting the Spark Solution two week challenge. I can do this, I WILL do this!

UPDATE (4/3/2013): I could give excuses and tell you how hard the past year has been, but essentially, I gave up. I am now back up to the highest weight i have ever been, and trying yet again to change. Now, I not only have to change MY eating patterns, but also my husbands, because together we can do it, separately, not so easily done.

MARRIED on July 16th, 2011, and still riding that wave of euphoria. :)

UPDATE: I am GETTING MARRIED!!!! Over the past year (august 2010 to now) I have put back on ALL the weight i worked so hard to lose. I am now working again to lose! My future husband is working WITH me on this goal, and together, we are moving toward healthy eating and getting up and MOVING! :)

On December 28th, 2009, I chose for the first time in my put ME first. To make change the path that my life was on. I wanted to LIVE not just to live. I wanted more than sitting on the couch, falling asleep at 7pm every night and wishing i had the energy to clean my house. I have two beautiful children, both who learned unhealthy habits from me, both who are relearning habits now with me.

The road is a never ending one, and one that will definitely have twists, turns, bumps, potholes, and even sinkholes, but I am determined that I will follow the road and LIVE.

1. Meal Plan and Prep - Eat at home 98% of the time!
2. Be kind to myself.
3. Exercise 6 times a week.
4. Lose 20# by the end of the year.

May 2017 Goals (Phase 1- SOS)
2. Meal Plan and Prep every Sunday!
3. Exercise 6 times a week, at least 30 min a day.
4. Lose 8# by the end of the month.

June 2017 Goals: (Phase 2 - SOS)
1. STICK TO THE PLAN!! (1 indulgence meal/week)
1. Meal Plan and Prep every Sunday!
2. Exercise 6 times a week, 60 min a day!
3. Bring in strength training 3x per week into workouts.
4. Lose an additional 5#s this month.
5. Walk the 5k for Brain Tumor Awareness.
July 2017 Goals (Phase 2 - SOS):
1. STICK TO THE PLAN (until Disney)
2. Relax at Disney and enjoy with healthy choices
3. Exercise 60 minutes a day/6 days per week.
4. Don't gain weight this month.
5. Back on plan after Disney.

August 2017 Goals (Phase 3 - SOS):
1. STICK TO THE PLAN!! (2 indugence meals/week)

    I didn't know that she was coming out with a new cookbook! I am sure it will be as good as her others. I really enjoy them.

    How was your day? Mine was good but long. I am on day 4 of this 28 day pilates workout that I found on youtube. I like it because the workouts are only 5 minutes but they aren't easy. I am sore which is great!!

    Hope you're getting back on track. We all slip and slide but as long as you keep on going you'll finish the in the end.

    Hey! I just noticed that you like the hungry girl team. I have three of her cookbooks. I love her!!! She makes things that are definitely lower in calories and the nice thing is that a lot of her books are single serving.

    Anyway, how are you? I feel like I haven't talked to you lately.
