Wanna play a game with me?
How about a healthy game of 'Simon Says'!
Simon says, "write down your top 10 reasons for getting healthy and put them somewhere you'll see them".

After you do what Simon says, make up a new task and continue the game on someone else's profile page. Maybe we can get all of SP playing Simon Says!

To get your new life style journey started, I invite you to consider following the SparkDiet. This approach helps you makes changes to your eating and exercise habits in a realistic way rather than trying to do everything all at once. (And points you at the site features that are most frequently, giving yourself time to learn the rest of the site benefits in a more leisurely manner.

The most successful people are active in the forums - it keeps you connected to people with similar goal. Each team seems to have its own rhythm so it's good to experience a variety until you find the ones with which you are most comfortable. Participating in the forum discussion allows you to 'meet' everyone; the general chat is a good place to start.

Good luck!

I was really lost since I knew little about computers and another member sent this to me.
This was what helped me the most. I am 68 years young and once I had a Spark page people could find me, and I could find them.

Go to your Spark Page. You can get there by going to "Quick Links" section on the right side of the screen (you may need to scroll down a little) and clicking on "My Spark Page".

Once at your Spark Page click on the “Edit My SparkPage” button on the top right hand side. This will then open up your SparkPage to be able to edit and make changes.

TOP SECTION

The left hand column titled “SparkPage Search Options” let’s other Spark People members do a search of Sparkpages and find yours by whatever information you check in this section.

The middle column titled “Design Options” helps you design your sparkpage to your liking. Use the color wheel to select your background color and text color. You can also use the color wheel to select an overall background color if you choose to or you can upload a background image. If you choose to upload an image click on that box and follow the instructions. The image will have to be saved on your hard drive in order to upload it.
Just below the “Design Options” section is “Page Font’ so that you can change to font style on your SparkPage. Just one thing, when selecting a font, make sure your SparkPage is easy enough to read. Some fonts are difficult to read when using certain color schemes.

The right hand column titled “More Options” is where you choose what things you want visible to share with others.
* Only allow my friends to see my page.... if you check this box only those members that you add as friends will be able to see your SparkPage.
* Turn my page offline.... obviously makes your SparkPage unavailable for anyone else to view.
* Just a quick note...if you want to make your SparkPage available to all members simply make sure there are NO checkmarks in the top two boxes in this column. In case anyone is wondering, I have ALL the selections in this column checked except for the top two. If you participate in team challenges you may be asked to make your Food Tracker and Fitness Tracker available. This is where you would do so.

Now when you scroll down the page just a bit into the colored section of your SparkPage...

Middle Column
• You can type in a Title for your SparkPage and just below that is a section “Introduction Text” where you can type an introduction to help others know a bit more about you.
• Below that is “Recent Blog Entries” or if you haven’t Blogged yet it might read “This user has no Blog entries”. In this section you can add a Blog by clicking on “Add a New Blog Entry”. Important just so you know.... YOU DO NO HAVE TO HAVE YOUR SPARKPAGE IN EDIT MODE TO ADD A BLOG!!!!!
• Below the Blog section is the “Links to Friends Page” section. When in edit mode you can delete friends you have added and re-arrange the order that your friends are listed in.
• Below the listing of your friends is a section that shows the teams you are on. You can re-arrange the order the teams show up here.
• Below this is “Recent Favorite” section. You can delete your favorites here if you would want to.

Right Column
• On the top there are buttons which are pretty self explanatory.
• If you wish to upload photos to your SparkPage from your hard drive select the “Edit My Photo Gallery” button and follow the instructions.
• Below this is your “Profile” section. Here you can enter your goals, program, personal information, and other information that you would like to share on your SparkPage.
• Just below this is a section titled “Personal Signatures”. Anytime you post a message on the message boards this signature will automatically show. If you would like to personalize a signature add it here.
• Below that is your “Profile Image”. Your profile image is the picture that is next to your posts on message boards and so on. To change this image click on where it says “change this image” and follow the instructions.

Left Column
• The left column is where you can place 3 photos from your photo gallery to show on your SparkPage.

Now scroll down to almost the bottom of the page where the section “My Weight Loss Ticker” is. Obviously you can choose to not show your ticker but I would like to mention that I try and visit everyone’s SparkPage as often as possible and I keep tracker of everyone’s ticker to help me see how everyone is doing on reaching their goal weight. When a member reaches their goal weight I make sure it’s acknowledged.

Once you have completed setting up your weight ticker to your liking you are done setting up your SparkPage but make sure you click on the “Save Your Changes” button to save all your changes!!!!
