It's been a long journey, full of highs and lows. I've re-started so many times I refuse to look at this as another re-start.

I got down to under 170 lbs Christmas 2015. In February of 2016 I met a man and at first we encouraged each other and I at least didn't gain any weight back for a time, but ultimately I realize now that it was too soon to get into a relationship and we started enabling each other and backsliding - after we broke up I emotionally ate my way back to over 210 lbs. I realized what I was doing just in time to head back to Onederland.... thank goodness!

It's May 2017 now and I'm back down to 183 lbs. I'm not quite back to my lowest weight yet, but it won't be long.

I'm not going to let myself get discouraged. This is just another bend in the path. I do however feel it in my bones that this year I will reach not only my goal weight but other goals I've set for myself.

I can feel myself changing from the inside out instead of how I was trying to force change from the outside in. I think above all else this is the key!

My Program:
I've joined a gym and enjoy going 3-5 times a week usually in the mornings before work. I do mostly strength training but I get in a bit of cardio as well.

My diet is really clean - low carb, high protein, my only sweets are protein bars which I limit to one a day and fruit but I don't go overboard with that either. I eat a salad every day for supper and I'm into the 8/16 Intermittent Fasting routine for now. I don't count my calories daily any longer because I pretty much eat the same sorts of things every day, but if I change anything up I'll test it out on the counter to make sure I stay under 1,200 calories per day.

    I am part Apache. When I go to Pow Wows at the Fair, I must stop myself from saying that. They did not get along with other tribes very well. emoticon
    Love to buy Tshirts but only a few in back have Apache on them.
    Like I said, I'm Hines 57 Varieties. Got a little of everything in me I think. It will be a fun trip to find your real ancestors when you are ready.
