It's time for some visible progress
I actually started with Sparkpeople 2 years ago at 212 lbs. Couldn't believe I had let myself get so heavy. But I started exercising and being more selective in food choices and lost 33 lbs! Then I injured my back, got the flu, and completely went back to old bad habits. Gained back 14 lbs :( Last October I joined a group of amazing women in training for a half marathon April 30. My physical endurance and ability have improved dramatically, but I am stuck weight-wise at 185. It turns out ...
I actually started with Sparkpeople 2 years ago at 212 lbs. Couldn't believe I had let myself get so heavy. But I started exercising and being more selective in food choices and lost 33 lbs! Then I injured my back, got the flu, and completely went back to old bad habits. Gained back 14 lbs :( Last October I joined a group of amazing women in training for a half marathon April 30. My physical endurance and ability have improved dramatically, but I am stuck weight-wise at 185. It turns out that just because you've run/walked 9, 10, 11.5 miles and burned upwards of 1,000 calories doing it you still can't just eat whatever you want! So it's time to add healthier eating (and maybe eating a little less?) to my active life and shed this excess weight. Then in September of 2012 I WILL be ready to run the Big Sur trail marathon. Yep, 26 miles and I'll be 45, but I'm going to do it :)

My Program:
Training with the Pacific Coasters group to run a half marathon April 30. Push-ups, crunches. Begin strength training for my legs, arms, and core. Tracking my food intake and making healthier food choices. Adjust my relationship with carbs :(
