I was a short, skinny kid who ran on the sprint team in high school. After I quit track to get an after school job at the age of sixteen the weight began to pile and never let up. After every diet I could think of and spending thousands of dollars on gym memberships, personal trainers, diet food, ect. and nothing working I finally got the lap band in April 2010 - weight in at 224, just shy of my heaviest which was a few months before at 230.

Every day, every meal, every moment I have a chance to make the right choice. That's all I can do, take it one choice at a time.

My Goals:
Drink 8 glasses of water a day.

Exercise 4-5 per week at an hour each time.

My Program:
With the lapband in place I am being conscious of only eating when I am hungry and stopping before I become full. I am also a member of my community gym where I work out 4-5 times per week where I do cardio for an hour each time. Back in the day I use to be a runner, for years now I've dreamed of the day I can call myself a runner again.

Personal Information:
I'm from the burbs of IL. My part time after school job as an engraver's assistant turned into a career and I now do that for a living. Go ahead and challenge me, I'm one of the best engravers in the state :)

Other Information:
Engraving I do for a pay check but my real passion is writing. I've always got at least a half a dozen projects in the works. I am hoping in the next two and a half years to be a published author. I just gotta keeping believing and keep trying so that dream of a writing cabin on the lake in MI will become a reality.
