A bigger life in a smaller body

Risk! Risk anything! Care no more for the opinions of others, for those voices. Do the hardest thing on earth for you. Act for yourself. Face the truth. ~Katherine Mansfield

I am doing the hardest thing on earth for me - taking a break from all the expectations I place on myself and that others place on me. I am taking the time I need to heal. I am focusing on learning how to let go and forgive.

I am doing the hardest thing on earth for me - taking a break from all the expectations I place on myself and that others place on me. I am taking the time I need to heal. I am focusing on learning how to let go and forgive.

I am not losing weight so that I can love myself. I am learning to love myself. Right now. Exactly as I am. I expect that when I release my pain, I will release the unhealthy habits that brought me to this place and will lose the weight as a natural consequence.

Each healthy decision is an act of kindness towards myself.

Hi, dear friend! I've not been spending much time on Spark lately, other than tracking, so I feel a little out of touch. I just caught up on some of your blogs...so happy you're writing them again!

Wishing you a wonderful day.

Tempest, thank you for your comment on my blog. Did you realize we joined Spark 9 days apart from one another? You're right about how the busy world tends to influence our mindfulness or mindlessness. It applies to our food intake and food choices, too. I am choosing to be mindful of what I have already logged in my Nutrition Tracker for the day. I am already done for the day with my calories having gotten up early and exercised; I was hungry early--which means I can't enjoy the chicken black bean burritos I just made for my husband even though they smell heavenly. Guess it's a night filled with sipping tea and drinking water. Not all bad, though. Tea is a wonderful thing. :-D Oh, and by the way, I added you as a friend. I hope you don't mind.
