My name is Kathy, or Kate as I'm known on some teams. I'm from Albuquerque, where I've lived most of my adult life.
My husband and I have four kids: a married daughter with three children, and three grown sons. Being a wife and mom are the best things I've ever done.
My Catholic Christianity is extremely important, although I have many nonCatholic Christian friends. Knowing that I can pray for others and that they will do so for me is great!
Now that I am not homeschooling or doing daycare for my daughter anymore, I've begun writing. Since I was a little girl I've always wanted to be a writer. I've been a professional storyteller since 1985.
If I had the money, I'd buy a tiny cottage in Northern Ireland to be my retreat. I love Albuquerque, but also love the sea. The people in the small towns in the North are so friendly. I'd have few gadgets or things to clutter up space or life over there.
But, since for now such wishes are no more than fishes, I'll settle happily for what I have.
My goals are to eat a completely wheat free diet, and avoid corn, legumes and nuts for the most part. They I feel better. I also want to keep doing the excercises to strengthen my torn bicep so I can use my left arm more effectively.
My user name is my business name. As a storyteller and a writer, I believe that I am telling a story forward. Everyone is a storyteller, though not all are performers. Whenever we tell a story about something in our lives, we are telling it forward. That's so important!

Anything else you would like to tell people. Could include things like your favorite books or movies, a quote, I love to read! Words are wonderful, and good wordsmiths are a delight. I'm fond of historical fiction, well written Christian fiction, and history. I also love to read children's books.
As a kid, I wanted to be Laura Ingalls Wilder or Anne of Green Gables. Barring that, I wanted to be Lucy in Narnia.
I also am passionate about history. When I first saw the word "history," I saw it as: Hi, story. I've always looked at it that way, as a story.
We have two wonderful dogs, and a crazy, somewhat antisocial cat. They add a lot to our lives.

“The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It's the caring that she lovingly gives the passion that she shows & the beauty of a woman only grows with passing years."

Anyone can give up, it's the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart, that's true strength.
