TeenyBikini1's the Beach is Calling Page

Here I fly, not looking back.

The mountains ahead aren't so big anymore.

I've done the 5k, and signed up for another... and another. I'm not afraid of those anymore.

My biggest goal this year is a half marathon in October. That one, admittedly, is a little scary. Being a little scared makes me excited.

I am strong inside.

I know I can do it.

All I have to do is take the next step....

My Goals:
January: Write down all of my goals and the rewards I will give myself; get myself set up on SparkPeople -DONE!

February: Run the Disney 5K and earn my medal! -DONE!

March: Flesh out my training schedule and begin chi running with internet coaching. -DONE! Complete Spring Festival 5K in the middle of March. -DONE! Sign up for my next 5K. -DONE!

April: Complete two real 5Ks (one DONE!) and the SparkPeople 5K Challenge. Look for a 10K to do. Buy and read the Chi Running book. -Bought, reading now!

May: Get totally acclimated to running outside in the hot weather. Complete the Disney Everest Challenge.

June: Add swimming to my weekly workouts. Focus on core strength, chi running/walking posture, and running endurance.

July: TBD (will work with my trainer on specific goals for this month). Consider joining a gym and using a personal trainer for extra oomph during the hottest part of the year.

August: TBD (will work

My Program:
This week's goals (week of April 3, 2011):

-Do running 4 times this week.

-Experiment with track/ other locations for chi running form practice.

-Do strength training at least twice this week.

-Time myself for 1 mile.

Haha! I've never actually seen a tornado either! When the sirens go off, we gather necessities and shut ourselves in the basement. I can't believe some people hear the sirens and head outside to video the tornado!! No way! My 5 year old is a major worry wart, so when he heard a tornado touched down near us he was freaking out "Do you think it destroyed Chick-fil-a???"
