With thyroid issues it makes it harder, but I know it can be done. I like getting to know people of all ages. Everyone has something to offer. I collect cherished teddies and like teddy bears in general.
My goal is to lose 1-2 lbs a month. It doesn't come off very fast, because of thyroid issues, but I won't give up.
Counting calories and eating a healthy diet which for me includes a GF diet. I am working with a friend from sparks on tracking our nutrition.
I am from the TX panhandle. I have 2 daughters who are married. One is a lawyer and the other is a mech. eng. Husband of 38 years. I have a degree in El.Ed. I have two grandson and four grand daughter. I recently had a total knee replacement and finding it hard to do the kind of exercises I want.
I enjoy reading Christian Novels. I have several authors that I love... Karen Kingsbury and others who write about the Amish.
I would love to meet for lunch on Thursday, but my new supervisor has called a meeting/training that day from 10-4, which I'm sure includes a unit lunch. I guess I need to be a team player and go with them so I can get to know my new unit. Can you tell I am less than thrilled???
Sorry we missed each other on Sunday. I usually sit center of center--pretty close. I don't think I stayed in the isle very long Sunday because of not feeling well. Hugs double, to make up for the missed one.
DH says that breakfast often makes him hungry all day as well. Thus we each have to find our best and do it. Looks like you are working on those 10 lbs and making progress. I see you are still leading the Amarillo group. Hope all is going well there. Hugs to you.
I am finally taking a few minutes to run by friends' pages and see how you are doing on your journey. As I do, I think of a passage in Scripture that tells us to encourage one another and build each other up to remember to be careful when we are walking in peace and safety that we do not let our guard down so that we fall into destruction.
Desiring to do so, I think of how this passage fits our journey. It is too often at times when we become overly confident or at rest in one’s self and in the things of life that bad habits can slip back in on us unawares, destroying any good progress. As I think on this passage in 1 Thessalonians 5:3-11, I pray with hope for our journey to be one of sober minded resolve, being careful to be alert as we press forward in ever increasing change to healthier practices, that we do not forget to be watchful in areas of success so as to maintain one good practice while pressing forward in another.

PS: As I was about to enter this on a friend's page, the phone rang. When I heard the voice and realized it was someone with whom I would be with on the for awhile, I automatically got up and began walking. It reapes over 1100 steps and 12 mins of exercise! Looks like that has become a habit, and it is definitely worth maintaining with watchful resonve.
