Hello. My doctor told me about this website in 2008. I joined it but would never think I would make so many friends... close ones too... like I have! I may have never met these women and men face to face, but feel like I've known them forever! I love visiting this site everyday & love that now after being on here for over 5 years I got my mind to agree with my body and am making 2014 my year!!! I WILL do this!!

I have two cubs (my boys) and my husband, who can definitely act like one of my children at times (hee hee). I love them all very much. My "cubs" have helped me with staying active. If I'm not running them over to Soccer or track practice, they keep me on my toes with walks, playing soccer and just hanging out together! I'm a very blessed Mamabear!

I wish you all good luck on your journey of your weight lost. God bless. Make this YOUR year too!!! :-)

For TeddyBear Challenge: Exercise & Nutrition goals - Exercise for an hour 3 times a week. Nutrition will be watching what I eat and keep with less (once a week) to no ice cream each week.

Personal Information:
I'm a Mom of two very adorable little boys. I have a wonderful husband. I love teddy bears, if you haven't noticed yet. I love the colors blue and yellow. I LOVE ice cream...my weekness...but also love a good salad (especially when I don't have to make it...hee hee hee).

Other Information:
When I was a little girl, I was going to be a clown in the circus. Things did change, as I grew up, but I still love to make people smile. I also love to help people out whenever I can. I love God, and thank him everyday for helping me through this life of mine.

No, I don't mind telling you at all. We lost our beautiful son Josh when he was just 22 years old..a few weeks shy of his 23rd birthday. It was sadly an accidental drug overdose which just tears my heart out. His dad and I were away from the home celebrating our 28th wedding anniversary on a cruise with many of our friends.

Josh was with some friends at our home and one of them was pure evil. He dared Josh to take a whole bottle of 32 pills of Coriceden (an over the counter cold medication...you could get them off the shelves at that time).

Anyhow long story short Josh believed the kid when he told Josh he had taken the whole bottle and dared him to match him. The kid had absolutely NOT taken the pills another kid at the party told us...but was a junkie dealer and wanted to see if any one human could survive a whole bottle.

The coronor told us that Josh died of a massive heart attack...all of those pills burst his heart.

This has been a very LONG time ago...actually in 2006...but I still am in mourning..you NEVER get over the loss of a child..especially in such a horrific and unexpected way.

Hold tight to your darling bear cubs...KNOW who they hang out with. We knew all of Josh's friends but this particular kid he kept away from us. I would have sniffed his evil out in a NY minute and would have followed Josh around to keep him away from him if I had to.

We teach our kids to avoid drugs...his dad and I HATE medications of any sort. We think twice before even taking an aspirin.

But these kids have SUCH influence over our children and the fact that Josh was 22 and should have known better had no bearing whatsoever. Even the fact that he had seen the misery his half sister had put his dad and I through had no influence. We went through hell and back with her drug problems...in and out of rehab for over 12 years. She was 13 years older than Josh by my first marriage.

I eventually had to cut her out of my life because she did not and STILL does not want to get off drugs.

They are the devil...they will steal your soul and I told Josh that over and over. It's just SUCH a sad story and a true epidemic in our nation.

My heart breaks for the parents of these addicted kids. Sorry to get on a rant but I had to let you know the truth so you can protect your own beautiful boys.
