Always Starting Over Again

Hello everyone. My name is Barb and I'm 46. I have a wonderful husband, 5 great children and 3 beautiful grandchildren. I work in a orthopedic office where I don't get much physical activity. I was raised in ballet and have never felt small enough even though I was always at a normal weight. I have been on diets since the 5th grade. I know.... it sounds like a sad existence. I am 5'61/2" my highest weight was 175. My starting weight with sparkpeople is 173. My goal is 135, but I would be happy to get back down to 140. Life is stressful so I tend to fluctuate with my eating. Usually going up. Time to put a stop to this.

As I sit here tonight... everyone is asleep and I sit here thinking that tomorrow should be the start of my new year. With our wedding and trial over, it's time to take care of myself. I promise to eat better and exercise regularly again. I will throw out all the left over wedding cake, and eat my 5 servings of veggies daily. This summer can be one of feeling lean and healthy. That's a reasonable goal if I only make small changes toward better health.

New goals.

1. Don't eat if I'm not hungry
2. Eat smaller portions
3. No eating after 7 pm
4. Walk 4 days a week

My Goals:
I would like to lose at least 2 pounds weekly. I want to reach my goals by summer, and keep my new habits for a lifetime.

My Program:
I have had success with weight watchers in the past. I plan to lose weight once again with it. Although I plan to log in my food on SP.

Personal Information:
My name is Barb. I am 44. I am married and have 5 kids and 1 beautiful granddaughter. I've been as high as 175 not pregnant and as low as 133, as a result of depression and loss of appetite. I'm starting again at 164.

Other Information:
I'm obsessed with the Twilight books and I love ballet. I still take class a couple of times a week. I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints. The gospel of Jesus Christ helps me with every decision I make in my life. Or so I try to make it that way. This is where I find the peace to make it through the difficult times life has for me.

Hey wonderful lady! Thanks for checking in on me! It was so nice to hear from you! So so so much has changed since we started, for both of us! But Spark is still here to keep us going, isn't it?

I really need to do some challenges, and some mental exercised that will help me really deal with my food addiction. I can get in such a bad place when I'm working not to emotionally eat. I hate that it's something I still deal with, and probably always will.
