Determined to be a better me!
I am a Sixth Grade teacher. As I approached the beginning of my fifth year as a teacher, I was at nearly my highest weigh ever. I was planning to fly to Indianapolis, and dreaded the thought that the airline wouldn't let me on, or would force me to purchase an extra fare. That was not an acceptable option, so I set out to meet the goals I had set for myself years ago.

I was planning to fly to Indianapolis, and dreaded the thought that the airline wouldn't let me on, or would force me to purchase an extra fare. That was not an acceptable option, so I set out to meet the goals I had set for myself years ago.
Two summers ago, I went back to school to get my Master's of Instructional Technology and Design. It has been a real challenge, and this semester has been rough. My plan is to reach my lowest weight in about 8 years by graduation day. I want to really look good that day.

My Goals:
I will be fit enough to run with my two children, who are both old enough to play in sports. I will be able to wear clothes I can buy off the rack anywhere, not just specialty stores.
I will take care of me as well as I take care of others.
My Program:
I am following a low-carb eating plan, trying to get enough sleep, setting up a workout strategy that involves the whole family, and tracking everything I eat, drink, and do.
Personal Information:
I am a 37 year old mom of 2. I teach 6th and 7th grade, sing in choir, and volunteer in Boy Scouts and in Girl Scouts.
I am also a state delegate for the international honor society of Kappa Delta Pi, member on two KDP committees, running for a KDP office, and a standing committee member on the state textbook adoption committee for Idaho.
Other Information:
I am a fan of several authors, my favorites being C.J. Box and Brad Thor.
I collect snowmen.
My favorite color is emerald green.
