Go Blue!!!

My name is Beth and I have been a SparkPeople member since January 2008. I have found that it's a great way to keep motivated when you hit a rough patch. I have been slowly making my way towards my weight-loss goal. Of course I have my weeks where I feel like I am doing a great job... and my weeks where maybe I am not doing so great... but overall I feel like I am keeping on track and that is something that I am extremely proud of! My Goals:
Ultimately, I would like to lose about 50 pounds. I know that my goal will take time and determination so I have set a smaller goal of losing 30 pounds before my friend's wedding in June.

My extremely long-term goal is to be in the physical shape to be able to participate in the breast cancer 3-day walk, which is 60 miles long.

My Program:
I try to make it to the gym about 4 times a week. I joined the Fit Zone for Women witha friend and I absolutely love it. Lately I have been attending more of the classes than I have been working out on my own. (Hip-hop, Zumba, Muscle Pump, and Kick Boxiing) These classes are great and getting to know everyone else in them has kept me motivated! I don't follow a specific "diet" I am just trying to eat healthier and stay away from the junk that I love so much!

Personal Information:
I have lived in Michigan my entire life and I graduated from U of M. Go Blue!!

I live in South Dakota now, but from June 1997 to Feb 2007 I lived in Saginaw, MI. So I know too well about the snow in Michigan and Ice Storms. emoticon
