Working on my journey to a new healthier me

Hello fellow Sparkers! I have been absent from Spark for awhile and thought I'd jump back on. To be honest, the fitnesspal app works so my easier in my life to track calories, but I miss the support of SparkPeople. It is my goal to check in at least 3 times a week.
I have been on a roller coaster of ups and downs over the last few years and have never been able to stick with it. The time is now! 2014 will be my year!

HA - not a good week. I mean it was a great week because it was my birthday, but it was not good health-wise since I celebrated my bday to the fullest! I'm starting fresh this morning. Have an awesome week :)

Hello :) I'm glad to hear your year is off to a good start! Hopefully you have much less stress this year. Mine is hectic right now, but things will smooth out in a few weeks. My weight is out of control. I'm so tired of starting over. I feel and look miserable. It's beyond time to get myself back into shape. You're right, it's better to be in the classroom - and away from the kitchen. Let's have a great week!!

I'm a Body by Vi newbie as well. I think I tried one or two shakes with almond milk and then switched back to another protein shake I do just for convenience sake. But I've been finding really yummy sounding recipes on Pinterest that I have been meaning to try- I was just curious if you had a favorite way to make it. I think I will try the frozen strawberries for sure- thanks! I'll have to let you know if I try any that end up being really good! Please do the same! emoticon emoticon emoticon

Thank you for your comment on my blog! I haven't found anything yet, I'm thinking I might be getting anxious to get back to school on Monday, and that is the cause, but who knows!
