I just started working out in 2008 when someone recommended SP. I have been struggling with my weight most of my life. I would diet and exercise and it would work for a while but then I would fall off the wagon , so to speak. I am in my 30's and would like to get in shape. I want to be an example for my kids. I would diet and exercise and it would work for a while but then I would fall off the wagon , so to speak. I am in my 30's and would like to get in shape. I want to be an example for my kids. To keep me on track, I decided to set goals. Goals are a 5K (done - 2008), 8k (done - 2008), 10K (done - 2008), half marathon (DONE - 4.25.09), sprint triathlon (2010) and maybe a metric century bike ride & a full marathon in 2011.

My goals are:
1. Lose weight
2. Get in shape
3. Stay in shape

Thank you for welcoming me to the Multisport team! :) Also, thanks for the resources about local events! I wanted to sign up for the Irongirl event in Columbia, but the event filled up the first day of registration! :-( I don't know if I'll get to do the Celebration in June, but maybe I can hit one of the DC events. :)

Congratulations on all you've accomplished this year! Especially on the 1/2 marathon...FANTASTIC! :) My husband & I have just gotten into the distance cycling, and have participated in several metric centurys this year. We even did a century on the eastern shore in October (Seagull)! I look forward to hearing about your continued successes!
