Trisha - 40 something and getting healthy

I have been yo-yoing for years now. Now that I'm in my 40's the extra weight and lack of enough exercise are hitting me! I don't want to diet. I want to live a healthier lifestyle. I want to eat better and move around more. I want to increase my energy level and increase endorphin release. I want to have some control! I'm looking forward to SparkPeople - its tools and members - helping me get there!

Haven't seen you on in a while. Unable to lose any weight in December since I wasn't consistent with my exercise or eating. Hoping you are not having the same problem. Starting again with a revised exercise plan. Thought I would check up on you.

Please don't be discouraged. As long as you are moving towards your goal, you will eventually reach it. The most important thing is to keep moving. It is normal to be concerned about what the winter will bring, but remember even if you can't get to the gym you can still do some at home. My family is making the same squeeks about missing me, but remember being here longer for your family is one of our motivations. I always weigh with as little on as possible. That keeps me more honest by not subtracting (in my head) for clothes. Slow an steady wins the race. THE TURTLE TAUGHT US ALL THAT. emoticon

Look at you--you're almost at 20 pounds gone forever!! Yay!!

Thanks for the friend add--I've done the same. We short people need all the help we can get, right? ;-) And yeah, I think your dr's crazy if he thinks we should weigh 110 pounds!! I know I can maintain a life that hovers in the 130s.

We can do this!!!
