Hi there!!

Here is a little about me:
My name is Theresa and I am 26. I am the youngest of 4 kids, have 6 nephews and 2 nieces, amazing friends, supportive family, and the best husband and daughter that I could have ever asked for!

As a young child, I was always overweight. I played sports and stayed active but never lost the weight. I was teased, not bad, but it still sticks with me today and I would never wish that upon anyone!! It hurts. I am an emotional eater, social eater, and just plain like to eat. I am working hard to change those first two, and change what I like to eat on the last one!

I am a licensed cosmetologist, work part-time, and am full-time mommy to a my daughter, who has special needs. She was born with Spina Bifida. We have been through a lot the last 18 months but I wouldn't change a thing.

I LOVE TO:
laugh uncontrollably, workout, walk/jog, read, write down my thoughts, talk, text, drive (not all at once!), make people smile, help people see their true beauty-inside and out!, learn new things, take pictures, swim, dance, style hair.


I LOVE:
my friends, family, my husband, and my daughter.

My 2010 journey:
I have always been heavier-set. My highest I have ever been has been around 185ish. I started SERIOUSLY using SP on 1.13.10 at a weight of 164lbs. I lost those first 21 lbs just by cutting back here or there, nothing consistent though. I have a goal weight of 145lbs, possibly lower depending how I look/feel. I am pear shaped and I have never been lower than 145lbs so we will just have to wait and see on that one :)
My 2011 journey:
I have been letting my eating habits slack due to stress but I do not want to go back to where I was so I am putting my foot down. I am getting MARRIED in May and even though I will not be to my goal weight by then, I can be healthier and feel better about myself.

My 2014 Journey:
I had two abdominal surgeries 5 weeks apart (Fetal Surgery at 25w3d pregnant and C-Section at 30w3d) back in 2013. My daughter is now 15months.
I am the heaviest I have ever been, not pregnant (highest was 221lbs). I want to do things with and for my daughter as she grows up and show her that with hard work, she can do anything. I have already started losing weight (5lbs) and will keep going this time. I want my outside to match my inside! :)

If you read all of that and make it this far, I hope you remember this, if nothing else, SMILE! A smile is the simplest thing someone can do, and you never know who you are helping with that one smile! Plus, it takes more muscles to frown than to smile! :)

*Follow my half marathon training schedule

*ZUMBA!! Love!

*WATER!!

*Strength training 3-4x a week

*Eat smaller meals more frequently

*Eat protein with each meal/snack

*No fast food or soda

    that's so exciting! i was re-reading your "about me" section on your page and also love traveling for races! i've ran in kentucky, tennessee, missouri (of course), illinois, and south carolina...need to add more to that list!

    good luck on the training and i hope it's not terribly hot on race day. stay hydrated! :)

    thanks about the new name! my husband's username for everything before i met him (and still today) is wenzthis, so i decided to be wenzthat, haha.

    things are going good. i've been doing much better with food but have been crazy busy with work and school and not making the time to exercise. i have been exercising about 2 days a week, but i need to step it up to at least 4 days. i'm thinking about doing the 30 day shred again...
