Carol, thanks for asking about my Toastmasters craziness. I volunteered to teach a 45 minute session on how to prepare for and give an unwritten speech. Most members are very focused on scripting every word and writing an awesome speech, yet in real life we often receive very short notice and do not have time to adequately prepare and practice. I have just completed 10 such semi-planned, totally unscripted speeches, and thought I could teach what I've learned. :D

Hi Carol!

Yes, I got my computer back yesterday and I was pleasantly surprised to hear that there wasn't anything wrong with my computer! I couldn't do anything with the computer before I brought it in and now it is better than when I initially got it (it was a second hand computer but in pretty good shape). The guy at the computer store said that he just cleaned out all of the dust and checked everything including the sound (which I didn't have) and he couldn't find anything wrong with it! He said they would give us a free estimate - so all of the work he did in taking apart, checking and cleaning the hard drive cost $20 - and now I have sound! Not a bad deal. I prayed that it wouldn't cost too much and God answered my prayers.

I'm so happy that you have had a lot of great excitement come your way! You must be singing with the birds outside! Speaking of which, I wouldn't mind if we didn't see any more snow this season! I like the Spring too and love the daylight savings time when we gain an extra hour of sunlight!!!! Yeah!!!

I am also so excited for you about your new job. Sounds like it is ideal! Are you still working at your present job this week or do you get the week off before you start your new job? I know you will make the adjustment really easily, since you are the ultimate professional.

My goals have stagnated as of late unfortunately. I read your goals for this week and think they are great! It is easier to stick to and adjust to small steps, then make them into permanent ones and keep adding on. Sounds great to me.

As usual, the exercise part is going well with me. I try to do at least 1 hour of working out every day. But the eating part has not gotten any better. I think I will follow your lead and make small changes until they become part of the norm and then I'll make bigger or different changes. Like for instance, starting tomorrow, I will only have a coffee with creamer after dinner every other day until I have it only 1 day a week or not at all. And I will plan my meals for the week so I know what I am going to eat at all times. I think that will be a big change for me but one that will get me on track!

Yes, I live in the Reading area so I am probably not real far from you.

Exercise is something I have been making a priority because I have found now that I must exercise hard to get anywhere with weight loss, it sure was a lot easier when I was younger!
