Hi, I'm Toni in Warr Acres, OK. My goals are to lose the last few stubborn pounds, increase muscle and improve my overall health. I'm hoping SparkPeople can help me do that, especially the SparkTeam Oklahoma City! I'm looking forward to meeting some of the OKC Team members, both online and in person. I'm also a member of the 50+ group, and my health issues are blood pressure and GERD. More than anything, I'd like to help others lose weight & exercise to improve their health!

I agree wholeheartedly with you, if you give up you'll only end up gaining more, or faster, but not going the direction you want for sure!
Funny, I told my husband I wanted to join the local YMCA for my Christmas present, I guess we're thinking along the same lines. I can't run because I have arthritis in my knees and the doctor advised against it but I do walk a lot.

I am also trying to turn working out and motivation into a must. I like your "I have to do it to survive". Thats the kind of attitude I need.

I have to workout in order for me to survive, but also my family. My family depends on how fast I can run. emoticon

Thanks for your comments on my blog today. I hear you, I have put some weight back on and am on track to lose it again and it's a wee bit harder this time! But if we both hang in there and keep our eyes focused on the right things, we will break through and succeed!
