I'm a carpenter, who owns my own remodeling business. I also had a lot of muscle under a lot of fat and now, I want to get to a BMI that show's my six pack!

I started Spark People after my wife asked me to join to get her points for having another member join. That's the truth. Then I started using the nutrition tracker and saw that I was eating WAY, WAY, too much.

Now, I've been on the site for less than a year, I've lost over 50 lbs, mainly due to the nutrition ...

I started Spark People after my wife asked me to join to get her points for having another member join. That's the truth. Then I started using the nutrition tracker and saw that I was eating WAY, WAY, too much.

Now, I've been on the site for less than a year, I've lost over 50 lbs, mainly due to the nutrition tracker, because typically I get enough exercise in my business to eat a few hundred extra calories. But, I HAVE to watch that I don't over do it and start to gain again. It's a delicate balance.

Also, since joining Spark People, I've started playing my trombone again and I can hold notes almost as long as when I was at my peak while playing in the military bands. I want to get to that point again!

I'm also a councilman for my borough, and being in the public eye has made me want to look better. So, now I want to start a weight lifting routine to refine my muscles and get that six pack that's under the last thin layer of fat.

My Goals:
To maintain the loss of 50+ lbs that I worked so hard for! I also want to develop a weight lifting routine to help me define the muscle that I already have.

My Program:
Eat healthfully, do three days of weight lifting, three days of cardio per week.
