Hi there, thanks for leave me a note on my page. It helps alot to know that there's more like me out in the big wide world. Funny how thousands of kilometers and still just a click away, you can find someone who knows how you feel and you're not really alone out there. What did we do before internet (and SparkPeople, of course)? Keep well and good luck. 2982 days ago
Hey –– how nice of you to comment on my blog. I forget that it's public because I don't really know anyone on SparkPeople. I think I might be being a little too obsessive with my numerous goals, but what the heck –– hopefully one or two of them will stick. SparkPeople worked AMAZINGLY for me when I first joined way back in 2003 -- I lost 25 pounds and got into great shape -- so I know I can do it again if I just focus.
The Wii FIT has been really fun. it has some neat tracking things and has introduced me to yoga which I really haven't done before. Every bit of active inspiration helps!
Good luck with your goals. I know what it's like to juggle the work and the kids and the hubby... it's not always easy to keep yourself up there in the list of priorities. When the juggling gets to difficult it's usually our own needs that we drop. TRY NOT TO! Your family needs you to be everything you can be!!
p.s. your family is absolutely ADORABLE!! 2997 days ago
Hi! Thanks for your comment on my blog. I know getting kids to eat veggies is hard - I was one of those kids who would try to hide veggies in her napkin. Somehow, mom always knew...
So this is how I roast the veggies. It was a DailySpark blog, but I can no longer find it...
Set the oven to 450*. Cut your veggies into bite sizes - whatever veggies you want. Add some olive oil - I use a big spoon from my silverware that is about a tablespoon. Add some sea salt or whatever seasoning you wish. Mix it around to coat and put it on a baking sheet. I use parchment paper on my baking sheet to make clean up a little easier. Bake for 25 minutes. If your veggies don't look burnt enough (yep, they get a burnt look), then turn on the broiler.
