Really Wanting To Support and Be Supported

Hello, my name is Tawnyna and I am one of the ones that are happily married (well that is the excuse I use for the weight gain) and generally really love my life. I really do want to make it longer though and the only way to do that is to make some changes.

I started this journey a year ago with a really good start for about ooh a week and then off for a year. It is time to take it up again and at least I did not delete the profile, so I am making progress.

Hello, my name is Tawnyna and I am one of the ones that are happily married (well that is the excuse I use for the weight gain) and generally really love my life. I really do want to make it longer though and the only way to do that is to make some changes.

I started this journey a year ago with a really good start for about ooh a week and then off for a year. It is time to take it up again and at least I did not delete the profile, so I am making progress.

I have a wonderful family with lots of love. The only draw back is my husband struggles to stay above 130lbs and am struggling to get down there. It can make things a bit challenging around the house when it comes to food choices. Going to be a fun journey!

I am very happy to meet new people and would love to find some friends that would like to get together and get a little more exercise into our daily routines i.e. walking, bowling, wii, etc...

My Goals:
Southern food was a way of life not a chore. This is my slow change to a healthier me!

Personal Information:
I live in Grand Rapids, Michigan and moved here from Southern Illinois down by the Kentucky border. Very happily married with two great children. We all have our flaws, it is what we do with those flaws that make us stand out and be unique!

Other Information:
Life is so much like a river. It has twists and turns, it can be fast moving or slow going. You can't always see what is underneath that might hurt us so we rely on our friends and family to be the rafts that carry us to the end!

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I love the "grad" pic on your page...you look happy to have done it (whatever that level is for you), you are reveling in an accomplishment! AWESOME!
Hey, I don't know what this " epic failure" of your was that you wrote about on my blog, BUT...I want you to think of it as a day AWAY...and NOT a failure.
We so often and too frequently punish ourselves for times when we don't do what we set out to do...THAT HAS TO STOP!
Because beating us up over times we fall short just kills our inner self image.
Take this as a stepping stone to a better day today.
Give yourself room to breathe on this journey. Otherwise you'll get that "ALL OR NOTHING" mentality working against you and you WILL fail, as you will NOT get back up and remotivated.

SOOOOO...good "day off"...now get moving forward again girl!

Weekend is going well. I got up at 5 am today because I was nervous about all the snow I have to shovel to get to a babysitting job at 8am. There are only 8" new inches in the driveway so I bet I can just drive over it and deal with it later. Tonight, weather depending, I lead a snow shoe hike so that will be my big exercise for the day. If that falls through, I must get myself on that treadmill again. Enjoy your weekend and thanks for keeping in touch.

Thanks for checking in- I did make it back on the treadmill. My legs were extra tired by the time I got to go skiing in 5 ft of fresh powder! How did you do with your goals today?
