So 2010 is the beginning of a new decade as is the beginning to a new me. I hate making new year's resolutions because I never keep them hence being able to fail. But I'm going to start out fresh and new...again, like so many times before. It seems like I'm always "going to start my diet on Monday" for the last year. I will say though that I love food. My Goals:
I have set specific goals when I lose so many pounds. Hopefully that will keep motivated and give me something to look forward to.
1. 185-Buy the pair of hight heel shoes I've had my eye on for the last couple of weeks
2. 180-Buy a new book
3. 175-Dinner and a movie with hubby
4. 170-Buy a new purse
5. 165-Buy a new outfit
6. 160-Get a pedicure
7. 155-Buy some jewelry
8. 150-Girl's night out
9. 145-Buy a new book
10.140-Buy new outfit
11.135-Weekend getaway with my hubby.

My Program:
I am dusting off my trusty Slim in 6 DVDs. I want to eat healthy and make smaller portions. I love to cook from my homemade 6 week body makeover cookbook. It's full of recipes that members have added to their website and all the recipes are salt free and use tons of fresh herbs and spices. I'm not necessarily following the program but I like the food.

Personal Information:
My name is Karla and I'm from Texas. I just turned 30 but feel much older because of my weight. I also have a facebook page if you would like to look me up there as well. I am married to a wonderful man for 5 years. We have a beautiful little girl named Clara Kate that turned 1 year old in December 09. I love to read Spark mail so send me a message. I love to have buddies!!

Other Information:
I love to read. I like the mystery or thriller books opposed to romance novels. And I'd rather read/collect a series. It always keeps looking forward to the next one. My favorite authors are Nora Roberts, Sandra Brown, Jan Burke, Particia Cornwell; the famous ones, you know? If you have any suggestions that you love, please pass them on to me. I'm always up for new novels.

Yes, we will be home and looking forward to your visit. Why waste your points when you can stay with me? Do you think he will not feel comfortable staying with us? If so, i understand. We only met him once after all. Whatever happens, we will still get together. Where are y'all going to be staying?

Hey babe! How was your weekend? Usually i do better with my diet at home than at work but right now i'm just not doing that great period. I did not go for my walk this weekend. :( Don't even know why! I do much better working out during the week after i get off work. I guess bc i have the workout room at work and then the good park where i feel safe to walk. The one beside my house is all woods unless i walk over to the Arboretum side across the street. I don't like going without Thomas for some reason. And when he does not feel like going, i don't go. We Just were not feeling it this weekend. I'm like you though, i'm not giving up. Each day is a fresh start it feels like. I keep thinking i'm going to get this under control, but it has yet to happen. It's so hard when there is all kinds of food laying around at work. We had Thanksgiving at home this weekend! Cooked a turkey and dressing. We are going to my cousin's house in Willis Thur. I have to work that night. I'm going home to Palestine on Fri. after i get off work. I don't mind working T-day bc that just means i get Christmas off and i would much rather have that off. I just have to go home this weekend to decorate the winery for Christmas. I love doing that kind of thing. It takes forever but it's fun for me.
And yes, it is ok for y'all to stay with us!!! Fri. night is better for us since I work Thur. nights. I've already decided what to cook if y'all want to eat at home. I figured y'all would be eating out when you stay at the hotel so you might be ready for a home cooked meal the next day. I'm glad to hear you two did not have the bug and Kate is responding so quickly to the meds. I can't wait to meet her!! Get ready for lots of pictures!!!!
I hope you have a great week! You can do this girl! Later gator!

Hey there! You are not a bad friend! If you are then i am too. I've been sick and have not done much on the computer except farmville. I have been working out though. We went to the Nutcracker market at Reliant on Sunday and i swear i walked a good 5 miles. We always park on the opposite side of the entrance. Then inside was huge! Next year i want you to go with me. Your mom and sister could come too! It's really cool. Anyway i worked out yest. and today. Tuesday i did 35 min on the elliptical and this morning i got adventurous and went exploring at the park. I ended up walking for 55 min. So that was good. I have not made the best food choices either. Sometimes i wonder what is wrong with me. It's really starting to drive me crazy! I need to get my willpower back that i had when i started this 2 years ago. I'll keep working on it.
Where are y'all staying when you come down? I would love to get together with y'all. If you have plans to stay somewhere else maybe you could at least stay one night with us? Like Sat. maybe? If you would like to stay the whole time with us then just let me know. It's not a problem. We will def. get together. I will make sure of it!
How did yours and Nicks test results come out?

Alright, i finally worked out today! I went on a short walk with Thomas and the dogs Sat. but it was only about 20 min. or so. I did 30 on the elliptical today. What kind of work outs have you been doing? Oh, i did some arm reps on the weight machine too. I will probably be feeling that tomorrow. I am going for a 45 min. walk in the park when i get off work in the morning. Walking does not burn that many calories but i feel like iit helps pretty much the same as working out on the elliptical.
Dinner tonight was not so healthy but i tried. I made fried chicken strips, mashed potatoes, and gavy. I used canola oil to fry them and only ate 2. I did not eat any gravy bc i just don't like it and only had a little bit of mashed potatoes and 1 serving of brussell sprouts. I LOVE those! Thomas won't eat them and complains when i make them. I get those little single serving size steamers. Soooo... easy and Yummy with a tiny pat of butter. When i got up this afternoon i had a yoplait very berry smoothie and a tuna sandwich. I brought a banana to work with me and will probably just have some yogurt before my walk. I have already lost 2 of the 4 lbs i gained on vacation. That's not bad if i can keep losing 2 lbs a week i will be happy. I told Thomas my goal is to lose 40 lbs by our Anniv. in April and fit into a size 18 or 16 if i'm lucky. A weekend trip to New Orleans will be my reward and fun anniv. getaway. I just have to get out of these 20's. I wear a 24 and sometimes a 22. I used to wear a 28! I think it's been high school since i wore an 18 or 16. I don't really even know. I think my wedding dress was like a 22 or 24. I'm so tired of being big. I want to get to 250 before i have a baby but eventually want to get below 200. Won't be easy but i have to try at least.
Well i better go do my audit. I hope you are doing good so far this week! Let me know about those test results and if you are feeling ok. Later Tater!
