I'm going to do it this time!!!

My name is Robyn and I live in Connecticut. I am 36 years old. I'm a wife and mom to 2 beautiful little girls.....ages 7 and 4. I've been battling 10-20 pounds since the birth of my second daughter. Somehow in the last year I have put on an additional 15 pounds and now have at least 30 that need to go!
Before my children, I was very active/athletic....running 5k and 10k road races on a very regular basis....I want to do that again! Hopefully, with the support of Spark People and a ...

GOALS:

10 pounds by 2/21.....new hairdo---goal met 2/19

17 pounds by 3/19....weekend without counting calories (going away that weekend)---goal met 4/2

23 pounds by 4/25.....new shoes and new undies from Victoria's Secret-----it's 5/14 and I'm sill a few pounds away from this one....grrrrr!!

30 pounds by 5/30....no reward needed, reaching this goal is reward in itself!!

My Goals:
I have 2 main goals that I would like to achieve this year. The first is weight loss...30-35 lbs. The second is to get back into shape and back to running 5k and 10k road races on a regular basis. I want to get my oldest daughter into running with me (she is very athletic and would LOVE it!). I have a kinda "mini-goal" as well. I want my friend Erica to get herself down to a healthy weight, get into shape and be able to run (or just slow jog) a 5k road race with us! Hopefully by this Fall! I feel so much more accomplished by helping others reach their goals....so she needs to do this....FOR BOTH OF US!! :-)


My Program:
My program includes keeping a close eye on my calorie, carb and fat intake...sticking to the low end of normal in these categories. Also, getting back into shape with regular exercise...walking/running on my treadmill 4 to 5 times a week and using my stationary bike at least 3 times a week. When the weather gets better, I will continue these activities outdoors....which is WAY more scenic than my basement!

Ok just for you and my flabby bottem I joined the womanshealth.gov 8 week challenge. I also set a pretty high goal..and you'll be happy to know.. I jogged with the dog at work today.. the one I have to take for walks. We jogs 2 out of the 4 walks we went one. :) YAY!

I might be able to do the 8 to get to 220 for the wedding.. If I do I might wet myself! That would be so awesome! I also was told today by someone other then you that I needed new uniforms lol!
