UPDATE 9/17/09 - Since the end of May, I've again neglected the wonderful community of Spark People. Instead of "almost 150", I am now at 156, which is 19 lbs less than I was at my largest. I am posting a blog at some point soon so I am keeping this short and sweet. I did move from the city to the western suburbs with my remarkably wonderful and devoted boyfriend Jason. I transferred to a smaller gym and LOVE it. I've been there a couple times now, but hope to get the ball rolling. My goals still remain. Just a new place and a new try.
UPDATE 4/30/09 - Welcome Back to Spark People, Tarra. I've finally hit rock bottom, and its taken a toll on me. Upon joining a new gym (because I was unable to ever get a nice workout in at the other one I belonged to), I had an orientation with a trainer who cared about ME, and not the MONEY. I've found that since my days beginning Spark People, not only have I not accomplished any goals, but I managed to put on 16.5 lbs.
5'2 and almost 150 lbs = very unhappy Tarra. Its disappointing and demeaning to myself that I've let myself get this way.
On top of an Achilles injury and new meds to bloat me, I've been very disappointed. :( Time to take charge.
UPDATE 2/25/09 - I have entered in a 3.5 mile run on 5/21/09. I have roughly 3 months to prepare for it! I've never run - ever, rather choosing ellipticals and bicycles...the occasional jog, but I'm committed to this JP Morgan Corporate Challenge. I am hopeful that this committment will assist me in accomplishing my goals!
I, by no means, am in great shape. I am, by no means, obese. I am, however, plagued with the struggle to find out who I am. When I think about the different facets of my life, one that always sticks out is the desire to transform, make myself be something better. And, at the root of it all if this nagging sensation of fitness.
I'm 26, but its not too late to make myself proud to be healthy, in shape, envigorated and motivated.
I need the help of my fellow SparkPeople to make this happen, for me!
I want to not feel my belly jiggle when I walk. I want to not see the love handles on my back. I want to define my muscles and become more confident in who I am.
I am using the tools on SparkPeople to achieve and maintain my weight and fitness goals.
I'm a 25yo, 5'2 female from Michigan. I currently live in the western suburbs of Chicago.

Omgah, I can't BELIEVE that you are on here!!!!!! I was wondering what in the world had happened to you. I was WORRIED!!!!!!
I am sick right now, so I haven't been able to work out and I am super mad about it!!!!
So, how are things going with you and what all did you find out about your condition?
