Recovering from setbacks

I lost over 100 pounds between ~2008 and 2010, going from 255 at my highest to one brief, shining moment at 133. I slowly gained back from their over a couple years to the mid 140s, hindered by shoulder problems, and then on Sep 12 2012 I had rotator cuff surgery and things have spiraled out of control from there. I was up around 160 near the end of 2013, and then had an early miscarriage after which I shot up to ~170. By the end of 2014 I was starting to creep back above 170.

I have had a lot of difficulty maintaining a good exercise routine since having surgery. I couldn't do kickboxing, couldn't do strength training. I pretty much could walk or run, and in a part of the country where I can't walk outside for about 6 months of the year because it is cold and/or snowing and/or too icy that meant the treadmill. In October of 2014 I was able to start cardio kickboxing again, and for the first time in a couple years I was exercising regularly again. I still have shoulder problems (my left is starting to be troubling as well) but I have been trying to moderate how often I go so I don't have to quite again. Starting in April of 2015 I have added in some running, even though I don't really like it much.

From December of 2014 to May of 2015, I have gone from the low 170s to the low 160s. It happened in fits and bursts and I'd REALLY like to get below 160 again before having another 2 month stall like between 165 and 162, but really I need to just stop overeating.

Overeating. My nemesis.

I was SO CLOSE at my lowest weight, and I'm hoping that because I've maintained most of my loss and the regain has been fairly slow, that I won't have to lose as much weight to reach my goals. My goal of 127 is an ABSOLUTE MINIMUM that I doubt I'll need to reach to be happy, and I'm sure hoping the real number will be higher.

My Goals:
A couple years ago I got down to 133lb, and was almost at my goal, probably less than 5lb away. My current goal is to get back to where I was (physically, not the number) and then keep going that last bit until I am happy!

I guess the unofficial marker of my success would be the skirt I bought in Japan, which fits a 27-29" waist. I got down to 30", so see how close I was?

My Program:
Exercise regularly to maintain good health and fitness and stop eating all the extra food that causes me to gain weight?

Really, it's not so complicated.
