Losing more than my mind!

Hi y'all! I am from NJ originally from Arkansas and I am here to start my new healthy lifestyle. I am looking forward to losing weight by my wedding day in September! I can't imagine paying the price I did for my photographer for me to look at the pics and not like what I see!

My Goals:
My goal is to loose at least 2 pounds a week. After I lose 10 pounds each time I will treat myself to a mani or pedi. Eventually I would like to lose 50 pounds by the time I get married.

My Program:
Watch what I eat, and exercise 3-4 times a week. Lots of cardio and strength training.

I hope your weigh in was successful. Even if there is no change, don't give up. If you keep up with your diet and exercise you'll lose weight for sure!

Awesome! I'm about to hit the gym myself. Let me know if the Zumba is effective. I might get the videogame for the Wii.

Ooo... Zumba sounds cool. I heard it's fun. I was thinking of trying it too.
And I know what you mean. It's hard to keep on track with diets. There is so much junk food around me that leaves me craving. To help me out I always look at the calorie content of food and I think of how much I would have to exercise to burn it off. I also look at the nutritional value to see if it's really worth eating. Some foods have so many calories and no vitamins at all which is when I know to avoid them. Sorry if I'm sounding too preachy this is just what I follow.
My week wasn't so great with the exercise, but I managed to drop one pound. :) I'm feeling much better about myself so I took your advice and bought a dress. I lost a couple of pounds since last month so I thought I deserved it. Lol.
I hope you can stick with your diet. Good luck!

I'm kinda afraid of buying dresses. I haven't worn one in ages. I tried on a size 6 dress that fit decently, but I still don't feel too comfortable wearing it because of my weight. Maybe by summer I'll feel better about dresses and hopefully I'll be thinner by then. Maybe I'll treat myself with a new shirt or jeans when I lose some. Lol. I'll post a new pic when I do so.
