No Turning Back

Losing weight has always been with a short-term mindset in the past. I was in a hurry and willing to go to extreme (and dangerous) measures before the momentum was lost. I expected myself to fail before even starting. You know what they say about hindsight. Well I have it now. Lol. This go round I started the same way, but my mindset has been transformed somewhere along the way. I''ve completed a 30 day workout DVD 3 times since September and have just completed week 1 of a new kettlebell workout. I can honestly say that my daily workout has become a HABIT and even something I look forward to each day. I''ve always battled with my will about food, but now with 74 lbs behind me my WILL is to continue with the foreword momentum and not binge myself back to square1. It''s no longer a rush of adrenaline and a battle of the wills to keep going. I have found peace and contentment with ME, HERE. Not that I''m ok with being 40 lbs overweight because I''m more determined than ever to be at healthy weight (for the first time in my adult life). But I can now recognize that I''m not in a race. That the journey is a part of the destination. I know that by making good choices today I will be closer to my goal and also closer to remaining there. I don''t always see a change in the scale from one week to the next but the lack of visible results doesn''t dissuade me from continuing on. Every good choice I make will have positive results. Whether that''s wearing smaller clothes or being able to wrestle an escaped sheep to the ground without pulling a muscle there WILL be positive results! It''s like math. So simple. Daily exercise plus eating on plan equals GOOD RESULTS! It''s become fun to discover those good results. I can do exercises that my fit and built (and hot, if I do say so) husband CAN''T do! First time in our 13 years of marriage too!

Happy New Year!!! Are you still on here?? Let's connect again. I'm back and plan to be around for a long time. Just not as consistent on here as I was in the past. Hope you are doing well and looking forward to hearing from you!
