Fit! Not Fat!

I stepped on the scale right after my 'baby' turned 10 and weighed as much as I did the day I went to the hospital to deliver her. While she was 10, I lost 41 pounds. Over 15 months I lost a total of 50 pounds. I have been working on maintenance since October 2011.

Now that I am at a healthy weight, I am working living a more active lifestyle and finding ways to help others do the same. I am a NASM-certified Fitness Nutrition Specialist and a member of our school district's ...

Now that I am at a healthy weight, I am working living a more active lifestyle and finding ways to help others do the same. I am a NASM-certified Fitness Nutrition Specialist and a member of our school district's Wellness Committee. I am furthering my education (in nutrition, fitness, and other areas) by taking MOOCs.

In 2013 I focused more on mental balance, centergy, and running after injuring my shoulder lifting heavy early in the year. As the year went on I began to struggle with maintenance. This year I am renewing my commitment to positive thinking and balance in all things.

2. Be at a healthy weight based on BMI. Achieved July 2011
3. Be at a fit body fat percentage (21-24%). Achieved August 2011
4. Be at an athletic body fat percentage (14%-20%). Achieved October 2011
5. Maintaining 50 pound loss since 10/21/11.


My Program:
My eating habits are a mix of clean eating and South Beach Phase 3 but NOTHING is off limits.

I strength train 3 days a week, run a 5K 2-3 times a week, and go to 2 group centergy classes a week.

6 pounds lost - 9/2010 - new clothes that actually fit so I feel good about myself even when heavy
16 pounds lost - 10/2010 - new underthings in proper sizes
21 pounds lost - 4/2011 - new outfit - starting to need smaller sizes
26 pounds lost - 6/2011 - new gym shoes, fat analyzer, and myotape
31 pounds lost - 6/2011 - bras, bikini, size small shirts and shorts
36 pounds lost - 7/2011- shopping spree! - new underwear (size 5), new exercise bottoms (size small), size 4 jeans and jean shorts, size 4 and size 6 capris, size small shirts, yada yada yada!
41 pounds lost - 8/2011 - heart rate monitor, size small racer back bra top and shorts
46 pounds lost - 9/2011 - Living in this body is reward enough! :-)

When I finished The Female Body Breakthrough - 2/2012 - I got my navel piercing.

thanks for answering my question.. I don't have a scale like that :0(..
I am using my fitbit to tell me when I am on target food and fitness wise to loose 1-2 pounds a week... but I am not LOL...

Loved reading your page. Inspiring! It was the abs in your profile photo that made me click over and look. I'm losing those last 10lbs where I know my abs will finally 'show' when I can get to 15-16% BF. They are there, just hiding ;-) I carry more fat in the midsection so it's a doubly hard to get them to poke through. But seeing your success tells me to persevere! Abs will be mine with consistent work.
