TAMTAM64 is a SparkPeople Motivator!
My story: I started running on August 11, 2006. I was unfit and so unhappy. I was burned out in my job, fat, and did not want to do anything or be with anyone. I realized that it was up to me to CHANGE me so I decided to start running with my husband, eat more healthy, and change my job. I found Sparkpeople in July 2007 and have been here ever since. I ran my first Half Marathon in November 2008 with an ankle injury. Afterwards, I had to take 4 months off from running to fully recover from that stress fracture. I started back running on March 1st, 2009 slowly but steady. 2009 was a great "comeback" year for me. I ran the St. Jude Half Marathon and got a new PR in Dec 2009. In Feb 2010 I met my good sparkfriend, Gail and ran my 1st marathon with her in New Orleans. Many sparkers joined us in New Orleans & I was thrilled to meet each one of them. It's a memory I will cherish forever. Since then I have meet many other sparkers at different races. I love running with my spark buddies!
It's amazing that I am still running. Running is the only exercise I have stuck with long term. Who knew I would love running!

Thanks for adding me. I just started my page last week and was hoping to find some people who like to run! Of course, now I am hobbling around on this sprain so it will be a few more days for me. I was supposed to do a half marathon next weekend, but it's not looking good at the moment. We shall see.

"Beautiful Woman Award! Once you've been given this award, you have to paste it on the wall of 8 women who deserve it. If you receive more than 3, you know you're really beautiful! If you break the chain, nothing will happen, but it's always good to know someone thinks you're beautiful inside and out"

:) Yes it is just me. It's part of me. Running - it's who I am, right? But for whatever reason, I've been spent.
The exhaustion of the vacay - the stress of the situation (you know).
The exhaustion of getting up for the 5@5.
The exhaustion of the thyroid thing.
Anyway, I have a plan in place now!! WOOT! There will be action to go along with it!!
Thanks for your support!!
