Thanks for the comment on my photo. I love that one, too, and it brings back soothing, relaxing memories of a lazy day at sea (on a cruise!). It's the only time that I have the time to paint my nails 1604 days ago
Thanks for the spark goodie and note :-) I had a total knee replacement on my left knee last year... recovered from that well enough to hike and kayak all this summer (including a week long backpacking trip to Isle Royale, Michigan).... now the other knee has finally "given up" and I'll be going in for total knee replacement in that knee next month (not looking forward to the follow-up PT, but got through it the first time and plan on getting through it this time too.... have plans to go backpacking again next summer, so hopefully I'll have two good "bionic knees" up and working fine by then)
Good luck with all your Spark goals.... and the knees ! By the way, I LOVE your profile picture! Love penguins (I walk just like them right now, LOL)
Haha! That photo of my grandfather and me gardening speaks volumes, since I've "assumed that position" to garden most of my life! Thanks for visiting my page.
It is SO refreshing moment to learn there are still home ec teachers. I thought they'd all been done away with (pardon my grammar). I STILL make the "lace cookies" I learned how to make in 7th grade home ec! And I remember the rhyme my teacher taught: "like little ships going out to sea, I dip my spoon away from me."
But as Stephen King says throughout his "Gunslinger" series of novels, "The world has moved on." I doubt you teach how to make lace cookies or etiquette rhymes in 2012... which leaves me wondering, what DOES a home ec teacher teach nowadays? 1621 days ago
