I'm a Jesus girl and have struggled with weight all my life. Intermittent fasting along with low carb foods is getting me to goal.

Low carb was recommended by a doctor and it has helped me reduce my migraines from 15 per month to maybe 1 every two months... now that is amazing! Low carb is also responsible for giving my husband his health back and he is now completely off high blood pressure medication.

The 5:2 Fast Diet has given me the most weight loss to date. I couldn't lose weight eating low carb alone. Fasting 2-3 times per week (500-700 calories on those days) is what I needed to achieve weight loss. (This Intermittent Fasting "diet" can be done with any choice of foods.)

If you want to know more about Intermittent Fasting please check out my SparkTeams. You will find information as well as support. Fasting isn't everyone's cup of tea. It is, however, what helped me eliminate a lifetime of extra fat.

FYI: Below is the documentary that got me started on this lifelong journey of health.

Weight History...
My weight has been as high as 298 lbs and of course that comes with lots of health issues. I have eaten low carb for years without much weight loss but did get my other health issues back on track with these whole foods.

On June 17, 2014 (at 242 lbs) my health journey changed in a positive way with the addition of intermittent fasting. I am close to my healthy BMI. My health is better at age 53 than it was at 30.

Thanks for your comment on my Spark Page - a nice surprise. And you're right - Norway is 'just across the water' from us! I haven't been there [yet] though.

I had a good week in Scotland and managed to climb at least one mountain every day.

As usual, I come back to a mass of emails and am way behind with housework and everything Spark, but other than that I'm OK, thanks.

    God bless you.

Thank you for the friend add. I've added you also. I will join. the 5:2 team. I would love to try the 5:2, but the eating mindfully days would ruin the progress from the 2. lol I have tried Intuitive Eating so many times, but the wondering if I'm hungry or if I've had enough nearly drove me insane, and I never lost any weight while doing it. How I would have loved for it to work!

I know I can stand to eat more healthfully, too. But like a spoiled child, I don't wanna! emoticon emoticon

Enjoy your weekend! Happy upcoming Easter Holiday! Thank you again for the friend add!

Hi Tammae, I appreciate your comments so much! I look forward to replying to your comments on my blog posts in the morning. I love what you've shared about your experience with intermittent fasting thus far. Having just gotten started, it's nice to hear from someone who's been there and has had success with it. I look forward to learning from you and also sharing my experience with IF, as well. I'm loving it and happy to hear that you've had such a great experience with it!

I look forward to replying in the morning. I hope you have a peaceful night.

Thanks for commenting on my blog - it's true - some things I don't buy organic cos they taste off - the non organic are obviously better and therefore more nutritious.

The other comment on my blog left after yours was helpful too from Fount of Blessing.

I like the idea of challenging one negative thought with three good ones!

Thanks for your comments on my 2 recent blogposts (HOW's of dieting and Being Complete vs. Being Perfect).

You have been one of my role models for a long time--I look at what you've accomplished and KNOW that I can do it too. I've also loved learning from you about IF. So thank you, thank you, thank you! It means the world to me that something I wrote could have benefited you too.
