In my late 30's I decided it was time to get serious about losing weight or have surgery. I fell in love with mountain biking with my husband and for the first time in my life, fell in love with exercise. It has taken 3 years for me to lose 35 pounds and I have 40 to go. I have lowered my cholesterol from 255 to 180 by changing my diet and more and more exercise. Now I can even run, wow!

My Goals:
I want to be healthy and happy with my body. I have no idea what weight that will be, but I think I will know it when I get there. I want fitness to be a huge part of my daily life.

My Program:
I have changed what I eat and use the wisdom of Dr Oz, Bob Greene and others to guide me. I decreased my portion sizes to equal about 12oo kcal/day (avg) which is really what it takes to lose weight. I also treated my hypothyroidism which has made all of the difference!
