    Hi, I read your post on the Paleo team thread and just wanted to assure you that you are not alone. I am not completely on track yet myself. I had a couple of colds over the past 2 months and eating and exercising were not the best. I am still trying to get it together.

    Remember that this is a process and it will take time and trial and error to get it right, so don't fret about not being perfect. You are in the learning stages and I would say that you are on point with what you need to do.

    Regarding recipes and eating tips, I previously posted the following on our team challenge thread; the following have wonderful recipes:

    These are my favorites:


    Planning ahead... for me I batch cook on Sundays, sometimes Saturdays. I have found that if I have my meat (protein) prepared the rest of the meal is a breeze. So batch cook:

    - chicken: thighs, breasts, legs, whole chicken etc. I roast chicken thighs, breasts & legs.
    - pork chops
    - port tenderloin
    - Italian, chicken and all types of sausage
    - turkey burgers
    - prepared.seasoned ground turkey (to freeze in portions)... I don't eat red meat. Use beef for the taco meat as needed.
    - pot roast
    - meat loaf (... mine is a mixture of ground turkey and ground pork, for fat)
    ... this is not a complete list.... anyway, I will cook the meat and freeze for lunch & dinner meals

    - boiled eggs
    - lettuce wraps with paleo chicken salad, tuna salad
    - sauteed apples with roasted sauteed pecans
    - 1/2 sweet potato and a meat protein


    A co-worker of mine introduced me to Recipe Inspirations by Kraft. These are great for people with limited time to cook but want to enjoy a great meal. Here's the link:

    ,,, I have used half of the seasonings and the meals turn out fine, and the other half can be used for another meal at a later date...

    Great to meet you, I TOTALLY recommend the Paleo lifestyle. It's a challenge at first because you will have to redefine your "normal" but it will change your life. In one of my blog entries I called my first 30 days the easiest 10 pounds I'd ever lost but it's so much more than that. The energy is unbelievable, I'm no longer ruled by false hunger brought on by erratic blood sugar levels.

    It's wonderful. Look around the web, there are a TON of sites that talk about it. My Spark Page has a list of books I recommend to start out.

    Our "demi-god" Tom claims not to advocate it but he doesn't like to attach his name to any particular "diet". I plan to do this through the challenge as well and it may disqualify me from winning but that's okay. It's worth it . emoticon
