On my way...

I am on my way to not only getting my body back in shape but also making a lifestyle change. After reading all the positive sparkpages I have changed my outlook to not thinking of a diet, but a path to healthy eating. I have heard so much about Smoothies with fruit and veggies, so gave it a try this morning. Not bad at all, I can do this!

Although my mother and I are over 800 miles away, we are on this journey together.

My short term goal is to drop 2 pants sizes by ...

3. No soda - this is hard! (UPDATE: 7/1/2012: wasn't as hard as I thought!! 1 can diet DR Pepper for entire month of June) YIPPEE!!

My ultimate goal is to lose between 50 and 75 lbs.

My Program:
I started going to Zumba class every Tues/Thurs. I love it!

I am also using videos (Walk away the Pounds/Zumba/Billy Blanks, Hip Hop Abs) and small weights/bands for strength training. I also joined the fitness center at the community center. Way more cheaper than a gym membership.

I have a bad sweet tooth, so I will start small by reducing my sugar intake.(Done: 1 tsp in coffee per day)
